1. Bookings and Deposits

Upon booking your Mighty Aphrodite session, a deposit of £100 will be required to secure your booking. This can be paid by credit or debit card over the telephone or by bank transfer. Bookings can not be confirmed until the credit or debit card payment has been processed or bank transfer has cleared.

2. Confirmation

Once a booking has been accepted, a confirmation email or letter will be issued detailing the dates and times of the booking as well as confirming the deposit payment. We respectfully ask you to check these confirmation details to ensure correctness and accuracy.

3. Cancellation
i) Your right to cancel.

You have the right to cancel your session anytime within seven days of making your original booking and your deposit will be refunded minus a £5 fee to cover administration and card transaction costs. This can only be refunded to the card used to make the booking.

ii) Cancellation of Session.

Cancelling your session after the seventh day from the date your booking was made will mean your deposit is non-refundable.

iii) No Shows

Where a client does not show up for their appointment and has not contacted us to cancel their appointment, we reserve the right to charge a No Show Fee of up to £200 to cover our costs.  This will be charged to the credit or debit card used to pay the booking deposit.

4. Postponing Appointments

i) Postponement with more than 28 days notice:-

Your deposit will be held towards your new booking for one postponement. If the rebooked appointment is also postponed with more than 28 days notice, an extra £100 deposit will need to be paid to book another appointment. The original £100 will also be carried over so a deposit of £200 will have been paid and will be taken off the balance payable on the day of the shoot.

ii) Postponement with less than 28 days notice:-

Your deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to book a new date. Any Special Offers or discounts offered when the shoot was booked will also be forfeited.

iii) Multiple Postponements

Where a session has been postponed with more than 28 days notice twice and the deposit has been carried over to a new date, to move the appointment a third time we will require payment in full for the package booked as a deposit to secure a third new date.

5. Punctuality

Please ensure you are on time for your session as late arrivals can have a knock on effect to other appointments. We will always do our very best to accommodate our clients who have experienced travel problems or other difficulties which may cause delay in arriving at our studio but to be fair to our other clients and staff who may be affected by late arrivals we reserve the right to implement the following.

i) Up to 60 minutes late for your session:-

Whilst not ideal we will where possible make every attempt to absorb this time so as not to have a detrimental effect on your session. However, we respectfully reserve the right to deduct this time from your overall session time if necessary to prevent impacting on other appointments.

ii) More than 60 minutes late for your session :-

Arriving more than 60 minutes late for a session can have a detrimental effect on the shoot. Where we feel it unfeasible to continue with the shoot or be unable produce enough quality images in the time given to produce the final product, we respectfully reserve the right to cancel the session and treat the session as cancelled by the client as above (3 iii).

6. Payment

i) Any balance outstanding for a shoot must be paid for in full on the day of the session on completion of the shoot. Payment can be made by cash or credit/debit card. We do not accept cheques.

ii) Payment for package upgrades and additional products must be made at the time of ordering. Please note that no editing/finishing will commence on extra images or products until full payment has been received.

7. Choosing Your Images

Whilst we do not want to rush our clients into making decisions with regard to their final images, we do have to place a time limit on letting us have the list of choices for editing and printing as long delays can have financial implications on us with regard to the annual price increases of albums and printing and changes in VAT. We therefore request that you observe the following timescales.

i) Please ensure that you provide us with your choices of images for editing within three months of your session. From the time we inform you that the edit is complete please ensure you confirm your final choices within three weeks.

ii) Where we receive notification of your choices outside of these timescales and where their has been an increase from our suppliers that cause a financial loss as a result of the late notification we respectfully reserve the right to make an additional charge to cover these costs.

iii) Images will be kept on file for 6 months only. If we do not receive your choices within 6 months of your session date the files may be deleted without further notice.

iv) If you have given us your choice of images and they have been edited and sent to you via download link, please approve them as soon as possible. If they are not approved within 6 months of the date of your shoot they may be deleted without further notice.

v) There will be no refund on the money paid for your shoot if your files have been deleted before you contact us to order products from your shoot.

8. Delivery and Collections

i) Unless otherwise requested all items will be despatched by Courier using a Next Day weekday service and charged for at cost price plus a small charge for packing. At present that is £13.50 for all standard package albums and books and 12” x 8” prints without an album. USBs can be sent by by Courier for £9. Shipping for larger items will be quoted individually.

ii) Items requested to be sent by Royal Mail Special delivery or for delivery by any courier on a Saturday will attract an additional charge which will be quoted to you on request.

iii) Items may be collected in person by prior arrangement in which case no delivery or packaging charge will be made. NB collections must be made during our normal working hours – 10:00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.

9. Cancellation of the shoot by Us

If, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have to cancel your booking, you shall be refunded the full amount already paid. We cannot, however pay any compensation or expenses as a consequence of such an event.

If our performance is hindered or prevented by a Force Majeure Event (please see definition below), we will, at our sole discretion, offer you:

a full refund; or

alternative shoot dates; or

such other remedy as we consider appropriate with regard to the circumstances.

In this contract, a Force Majeure Event means any of the following circumstances which may hinder or prevent the performance of the contract, including but not limited to:

Acts of God, flood, drought, earthquake or other natural disaster;

Epidemic or pandemic;

Terrorist attack, civil war, civil commotion or riots, war, threat of or preparation for war, armed conflict, imposition of sanctions, embargo, or breaking off of diplomatic relations;

Nuclear, chemical or biological contamination or sonic boom;

Any law or any action taken by a government or public authority, including without limitation imposing a restriction, prohibition, or failing to grant a necessary licence or consent;

Collapse of buildings, fire, explosion or accident;

Any labour or trade dispute, strikes, industrial action or lockouts;

Non-performance by suppliers or subcontractors; and interruption or failure of utility service.

Any refund under this clause will be made within 14 days of the cancellation.

10. Our Money Back Guarantee

We are so confident in our abilities to give our clients images that they will love that we offer a full money back guarantee if you do not like your pictures. Terms are as follows:

i) If by the end of your Mighty Aphrodite photo shoot you are not happy with your images, we will refund your deposit in full and no further payment will be required.

ii) You, the customer must tell us that you do not like the pictures as we show them to you throughout the shoot so that we have the chance to rectify the problem and offer different posing and lighting and set options.

iii) If you decide you would like a refund, all of your images will be deleted from our computers and you will not take away a proof USB of your images.

iv) Payment of the balance of your shoot at the end of your session signifies that you are happy with your images and no refund will be available after this payment is made.
