Our New Life (and Studio) in Wales
It’s coming up to 2 years since we made the move west to wonderful Wales and we’ve managed to cram so much in. The idea of moving to the countryside was so that we could have a slower pace of life, but we’ve actually never been busier đ Having two holiday cottages, building a photography studio from scratch plus 4 acres of land to manage has been hectic…but in the best possible way. We’ve rediscovered our love for the outdoors and Leigh has enjoyed photographing the dark skies and abundant wildlife around us. #QualityOfLife đ

After we came out of lockdown last April our two holiday cottages (Red Kite & Woodpecker) were pretty much fully booked for the whole of 2021. We finally finished our new Boudoir Photography Studio in May 2021 and had our first workshops and boudoir shoots that month. After a year of not shooting it was great to be back and our new bigger and better studio & office is a total joy.
We have new shooting areas and we are now able to use daylight too as we have big bi-fold doors at one end of the studio. The extra ceiling height is magical and means we have so many shooting options and angles – such a treat after the space and height restrictions in our old studio.

We have two new studio sets, Daylight Boudoir and The Drawing Room – they are really versatile and clients are loving them.
We are now getting more local clients from south Wales, but most clients still travel to us from further afield. Many choose to stay in one of our self-contained holiday cottages for two and combine the shoot with a romantic break. Cottage guests have exclusive use of our two wildflower meadows with spectacular views and sunsets over the valley below. đ
Our cottages do get very busy so if we don’t have availability when you want to come for a shoot we can also recommend other local accommodation. The Falcondale Hotel is only ten minutes away from us and is lovely with a great restaurant.
We are so in love with where we live. There is so much to do and it is outstandingly beautiful. If you come for a boudoir shoot and a holiday we promise you will find some amazing places to visit.
