Ms V’s Arty, Stylish Boudoir Shoot

Most of our clients are so nervous at the prospect of doing a shoot they ask for lots of advice on the style of images that will suit them best. But sometimes clients come along with definite ideas of what they do and don’t want. Ms V had very strict guidelines for what she required – she wanted very simple images with a plain background that concentrated on the shape and curves of her body. Lingerie would be very stylish and sleek – nothing romantic or fussy – the style was to be Helmut Newton inspired with a 50 shades edge.

So Ms V. brought some very sophisticated black lingerie and a corset with some props – cuffs and a riding crop for a fun BDSM feel. She also wanted her images to be mostly anonymous with not much face on show so we concentrated mostly on tighter body shots and captured the details of the lingerie.

Working to such a specific brief could have been difficult, but as Ms V got to see the images in the studio as we were shooting, she was able to give us feedback immediately on what she liked best so we could make sure we captured exactly what she was looking for. When she saw that we were creating exactly the look she desired she had a lot of fun and really enjoyed the shoot.

Ms V originally thought she would want all her pictures in black & white but she was very surprised that she actually loved the colour shots too.

She chose to have her images as Digital Files and added a Wallet-size album too to wrap up as a gift to her husband. When she received her finished pictures, Ms V said:

“I love them and am so happy I had them done ? I feel they captured a moment in time which might not be able to be captured again – and my husband LOVES them.”

Mission accomplished!
