Sarah’s Nude Portrait Shoot
One of our most fun shoots last year was with client Sarah. She was really nervous before the shoot and confessed she had contemplated not coming. But once we started shooting and she saw the first few pictures we had taken she started to relax and enjoy the shoot. The next day she left a lovely review on our Facebook page:
“Wow – what can I say? Yesterday afternoon I had one of the most amazing experiences of my life at Mighty Aphrodite. I was super nervous and couldn’t remember why I’d thought it was a good idea in the first place, but I remember feeling old and unattractive, earlier in the year, so wanted the confidence boost.
As soon as I arrived and Leigh opened the door I knew it was going to be fun and I instantly felt relaxed. Leigh and Zena are so easy to work with (Zena made my make up look glamorous, but it still looked like me) and after the first shots of me in underwear I was happy to take it all off. For the rest of the afternoon I never put anything on again until we’d finished and I got ready to go home. I felt so at ease and I am absolutely ecstatic about my photos. All the faults like my stretch marks and blemishes are not as awful as I thought and don’t look nearly as bad as I imagined they did in my head. You never felt like you had to do anything you weren’t comfortable with and I will be returning for a second shoot because I know I can push myself even further!
I’ve realised that at 44 my body is still rocking and I’m really proud of myself. No matter what your age or shape I promise you that once Leigh and Zena have finished with you, working their magic, you will see your body in a totally different way. I haven’t felt this beautiful or empowered since my wedding photos were taken over 19 years ago. I am still buzzing today and feel so confident about being ME and accepting who I am!! I can’t thank them enough (and neither can my husband).”
Sarah ordered an ArtBook and some wall art from her shoot and this is what she said when she received her pictures: “I have just received my Art Book, two large Aluminium Wall Art and three prints from my shoot in July. WOW!!! They look amazing. My photo does not do them justice. The quality is beautiful and I cannot wait to put them on my walls and show them to people. They are beautiful, arty and just how I wanted to look. Leigh and Zena have given me so much confidence in my body that I see myself totally differently than I did before!! I’m on a high today, but have been since the shoot to be honest. I never thought having my photo taken would change the perception I have of my body so much, but it has and I’d recommend everyone to do it!!”
